Story

Hello and welcome to our Totally Oarsome Fundraising page!

On June the 22nd, 12 members of staff from bptw shall be bravely taking to the River Thames to take part in The Meridian Pull Challenge, rowing 8.5 miles in 2 wooden boats from the Houses of Parliament to Greenwich.  We will be training extremely hard over the next couple of months to become seaworthy and expert rowers, ready for the challenge.

We expect it to be a test of strength and endurance, but will gladly battle through wind, rain and whatever may come at us to help raise money for an important cause.

The AHOY Charity promotes a healthy lifestyle through water activities using London’s greatest natural resource – the river Thames. With a focus on teamwork and personal development; they teach and train young people to develop essential life skills, self-confidence and pride, breaking down social barriers and providing people with the skills they require to find employment. You can read more about them here: http://www.ahoy.org.uk/what-we-do/

We would greatly appreciate your support and donations over the next couple of months. Our target is to reach £2400 and all the money raised will go directly to positively impacting young disadvantaged and disabled people through AHOY’s programmes and activities.

Thank you for taking the time to visit our page and for your support.

The bptw crew.
