ODAAT was established in 1993 to help recovering addicts within a supported housing environment. Since 1993, ODAAT has developed into a very effective therapeutic solution to addiction for many people. Not only do people learn to live a settled life without drugs or alcohol, but they also get work training so that a large percentage of them are able to gain employment and flourish.

Of those that successfuly complete the programme, 80% remain in abstinant recovery. This is a tremendous result which represents many changed lives, including those of partners, parents and children of the recovering addicts.
