I am a breast surgical oncologist in Newark NJ. I work daily in a community that sees a disproportionate rate of young women with breast cancer, particularly with the most aggressive, triple negative breast cancer. Without education, awareness and funding, we cannot reduce the mortality rates within communities of color. TNBC foundation is one of the only organizations that emphasizes the importance of bringing awareness to this aggressive form of breast cancer, and raises funding towards finding targeted treatment and a cure.
