WIRES, the NSW Wildlife Information, Rescue and Education Service has been rescuing and caring for native animals for over 35 years. Our mission is to actively rehabilitate and preserve Australian wildlife and inspire others to do the same. We have over 4000 volunteers in 28 branches.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

The oil and gas community is putting together a fundraising event to
raise much needed funds for WIRES.

It is impossible to know how many animals have perished in Australia
this bushfire season, and it will be many months before the impact on wildlife populations can be better understood. Ecologists at Sydney University have estimated that over 800 million animals have been affected in NSW and over 2 billion animals across Australia, since September.

So what are we doing to help…?

We have 9 brave oil and gas representatives that have committed to
‘Jumping for the Joeys’. They will participate in a Skydive over Rottnest
island at 15,000ft.

The motto of this fundraiser is courage and bravery, representing the
courage and bravery of: The wildlife volunteers who are working tirelessly to save as many species as possible from extinction; the courageous firefighters who have lost their lives and those that are still fighting to save our land; the emergency support teams and all the amazing people, all over the world, who have donated time and money and who have brought global awareness to our ecological catastrophe.

Please donate and help us to reach our goal of $15,000, for WIRES.
