SoA's Aim
SoA Leadership is a small organisation with a BIG idea (see www.soaleadership.org)
Its vision is to make a significant contribution to Africa’s sustainability by developing future leaders with integrity.
SoA’s Background
Following the devastating war in Sierra Leone, a group of Sierra Leonean diasporas and friends wanted to contribute to ensuring that a war of this magnitude never happened again, not only in Sierra Leone, but throughout Africa. They formed an organisation that was eventually called SoA Leadership.
What Does SoA Do?
SoA Leadership works in collaboration with seven secondary schools in Sierra Leone to run a leadership programme for young people who have been identified as having leadership potentials by their principal, peers and members of the SoA Leadership committee in Sierra Leone.
The programme consists of the following components: a one week residential leadership development programme; SoA clubs; Community programmes/projects; a two day post graduate masterclass; and a national youth executive
Why does SoA need your help?
SoA participants are not charged to attend any part of the course. As such, SoA relies on good will, donations and fundraising activities to ensure the charity’s work can continue.
So on behalf of SoA Leadership, we thank you for your donation and support (see www.soaleadership.org)!
Check out the Tough Mudder website (http://toughmudder.co.uk/about/) to see what we'll be doing all in the name of SoA...and masochism!!
