Hello!

We are Olaf's Run Club - a running group based out of Olaf's Tun Craft Ale Bar in Woolston, Southampton. 

On 21st May we have two teams taking part in the Romsey Relay Marathon - each team is made up of 10 people, each of whom run 2.6 miles, making a total 26.2miles (also known as a marathon!) for each team.

We will be raising money for Mayfield Nurseries in Southampton, who offer horticultural therapy services to support people in the community with their mental health, supported by plant sales and donations. 

Their wellbeing services provide a place for people with mental health issues and learning disabilities to benefit from the positive impact gardening can have, with tailored therapy services and a private therapy garden, it's the perfect escape from the pressures of life. Mayfield also help their clients to develop skills and confidence to gain employment, volunteer and make positive steps towards improving their wellbeing.

Other services offered at Mayfield include the Men's Shed - kitted out community spaces where men can enjoy practical hobbies with the focus on making friends, and learning and sharing skills (although many folks come just for the tea and banter) - and Gardening For Dementia, providing a safe and supportive environment for people with dementia to build confidence and develop new skills through a fun and caring approach to gardening.
