AUFC Old Boys Run 2020 - Birmingham to Aberystwyth · 17 May 2020

We’re Mind, the mental health charity, working across England & Wales. We believe no one should face a mental health problem alone. We’re here for you. Whether you’re stressed, depressed or in crisis. We’ll listen, give support & advice, & fight your corner. Thanks for fundraising for national Mind.

Story

In May 2019 we completed a 138 mile cycle from Birmingham to Aberystwyth.

In 2020, instead of cycling we will be running from Birmingham to Aberystwyth, completing approximately 120 miles over six days (20 miles a day).

We will be running to raise money for MIND. MIND is a charity that works to increase the awareness of mental health and help those who are suffering.

We have chosen this charity as depression is affecting young people everywhere. Two old boys from the club have taken their lives in the past. These lads showed no signs of depression, out of the blue committed suicide. There’s help out there to reduce the risk and prevent this from occurring.

If possible, please donate anything you can. We will need all the motivation we can get to tackle this colossus challenge.

If you would like to help or participate in anyway then please get in touch.

Below is a breakdown of every run we will complete from day 1 to day 6:

** Due to the recent lockdown restriction the run will now be starting from outside of Birmingham:**

**Saturday 19th September - Fazely to Gailey (20 miles)**

**Sunday 20th September - Gailey to Wroxeter (21 miles)**

Monday 21st September  - Wroxeter to Buttington (21.8 miles)

Tuesday 22nd September  - Buttingham to Caersws (19.6 miles)

Wednesday 23rd September  - Caersws to Pont Mawr (20.9 miles)

Thursday 24th September  - Pont Mawr to Aberystwyth (22.2 miles)

Thank you.
