Story
On 14th October, Mikhaila and Eilish, two of the young people we support, will be going on the adventure of a lifetime as they cycle from Vietnam to Cambodia.
Mikhaila and Eilish have both come a long way since their first diagnosis and are now both in remission. Mikhaila has been in remission or 1 year and Eilish for 5 years. To celebrate such a monumental achievement they have decided to challenge themselves by participating in our Vietnam to Cambodia cycling challenge. Both Mikhaila and Eilish are passionate about supporting and giving back to ‘Teens Unite’ as they understand and appreciate the value of the support provided by ‘Teens Unite’.
The money raised from challenges such as the Vietnam to Cambodia cycle ride will help us fund activity days and events for the young people we support. Activity days mean so much to the young people that we support, giving them the opportunity to try new things; gain self-confidence and form lifelong friendships such as Mikhaila and Eilish’s friendship. The money raised will also support residential stays, beauty days and CV workshops.
We are excited to announce that we will be following them through their journey. This will mean checking up on their training, fundraising efforts and then following them through their adventure from Vietnam to Cambodia. This adventure will not be a walk in the park, as they will be cycling around 50km each day during the challenge, which demonstrates just how far Mikhaila and Eilish have come on their own journey.
