Asics British 10K London Run · 6 July 2008 ·

Project Harar provides access to treatment, rehabilitation, and reintegration services in Ethiopia for children and young people with clefts and more complex facial disfigurements. We do this because these children and young people are at risk of stunting, malnutrition, and social exclusion.

Story

Thanks for visiting my page to find out why I'll be getting up early on Sunday 6 July.

I'm taking part in the London 10K for Project Harar Ethiopia, a clever little charity doing great things in Ethiopia.
This exceptional cause helps children with severe facial disfigurements get  the surgery they desperately need. The patients come from some of the most isolated areas of east Africa and are found suffering from things like animal attack, tumours, cleft lip and palate, and noma - a terrible facial infection.

Project Harar helps the children reach modern health facilities and arranges for specialists to carry out the operations, giving the children the chance of a healthier and happier life for as little as £300 each. To see more about their work please go to www.projectharar.co.uk.

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Project Harar Ethiopia gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Oh, and I'm hoping to go sub-50mins (did I say that?)...

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks from me and Project Harar Ethiopia

Oli
