Story
Whilst in 2013 I received more support than I could have dreamt of when I ran the London Marathon, I was raising money for one charity. Given the needs of our two boy's, Archie and William, and more importantly many other children like them, there was another smaller charity that I felt was in desperate need of funds, to sustain the invaluable work that they do. As a result I'm trying to raise funds in aid of The Puzzle Centre, a specialist speech & language centre that William (aged 4) attends each week. He has yet to say the magic word 'Daddy' that his elder brother has mastered!
For those who don't know Puzzle is a charity that needs to fund raise £250k each year as it receives little financial support from local government. Whilst it is renowned for its work with autistic children, it is also a specialist speech and language centre, which is why William attends.
Although I am only running a half marathon on 12th Oct, I am the following weekend competing in the Swanbourne Endeavour. This is similar to a 'Tough Mudder' event for those wondering...with electric shock treatment, running through fire and getting very wet and muddy over a 10km course....and seemed 'fun' last year!
So whilst I'll be getting a few scrapes and bumps, I hope that the above very worthwhile cause helping disadvantaged children, and my meagre efforts will encourage you to make a small donation.
