84 (Coventry Airport) Sqn JTYAF Sponsored Walk · 29 March 2015

JTYAF's mission centres on providing opportunities and financial support to young people, particularly those who might otherwise be unable to pursue their ambitions due to financial barriers. We provide young people with the means to progress, develop and follow their dreams.

Story

I am raising money for the John Thornton Young Achievers Foundation (JTYAF) as apart of completing the Air Cadet's arduous Junior Leader's course.

The Junior Leader's course is run every year by Headquarters Air Cadets and is a leadership course primarily taught through the use of fieldcraft, giving students the vital skills to take into the future.

The JTYAF was set up in memory of John Thornton by his parents. John Thornton was an ex-air cadet and Royal Marine officer who was tragically killed in southern Afghanistan in 2008. The JTYAF supports young people in wide range of youth organisations, one of them being the Air Training Corps, and provides them with the scholarships to support their personal development and the pursuit of their ambitions.

Please donate what you can and be sure to visit the Foundation's website at: www.jtyaf.org
