Eden Project Marathon 2021 · 10 October 2021

Bristol Refugee Rights supports refugees and asylum seekers to feel safe and welcome, live free of poverty, and access their rights. We want a society where refugees, asylum seekers and migrants are welcomed. A society where everyone’s rights and entitlements are respected.

Story

Never ran a marathon before, and apparently the Eden Marathon is one of the harder ones in the UK, so should be a good place to start.....wish me luck!

I’m raising money for Bristol Refugee Rights. They are an independent charity, doing amazing work supporting refugees and people seeking asylum in Bristol; providing a safe, welcoming space, and supporting through empowerment and advocacy to ensure human rights are respected.

In the last year they have supported more people from Afghanistan than any other country, and have stepped up support to their Afghan members. Taking a holistic approach, offering specialist housing advice, financial help, immigration status and healthcare access. They are also the only service in Bristol offering specialist support for LGBTQ+ members, young people and those facing complex needs.

Any donation is massively appreciated!

Thank you!
