Hello, thanks for looking at my page!!

"I'm running the Mini Great Manchester Run on Saturday 15th May.  I like running. This is my first race. I'm running because it sounds fun. I want to raise some money for babies."

The race Oliver is going to run (or 'win' as he puts it) is 1.5K. He races with his mates all the time, and took part in sports day at nursery, but he has never done anything like this before.

Oliver lost his little brother Joe-Joe 2 years ago to 'stillbirth' which is just another way of saying "no one knows why". Charities like Tommy's work really hard to stop preventable stillbirth (such as undiagnosed pre-eclampsia) through education. They also carry out research to find the cause of deaths such as Joseph's, which are labelled 'just one of those things' at the moment, because more research is needed. 

They offer support to families like ours too, and help to remove some of the stigma that still exists around stillbirth and neo-natal death. 

Oliver remembers Joe-Joe (as he calls him) really clearly. He still struggles to understand what happened and often talks about his brother. Ol has chosen to try to raise £40.00 as he sees this as a LOT of money. We're hoping he might be able to raise a bit more though....!
