Story
The loss of a dear family friend to cancer earlier this year, Linda Banner, and the devastating effect that it has upon anyone who is diagnosed with it and their loved ones, motivated me to set myself a goal to raise money for Cancer Research UK. I want to do something difficult that is going to challenge me both physically and mentally, while at the same time something that is exciting.
Cycling from John O'Groats to Land's End certainly fits this criteria. This August, across 10 days, I am going to cycle 1000 miles, climbing steep terrain, battling fierce headwinds and, inevitably, facing some serious chafe (probably 10 miles in!) and muscle aches! Luckily, I am not alone in doing this, and 4 friends from university (Charles Berry, Ed Price, James Cutlan and Tom Coleby) will be alongside me the entire way!
Please donate anything you can to my cause, as every donation inspires me to keep pedalling all the way to the end. Cancer is a real blight upon families, and will continue to be: 1 in 3 people will be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime.
Cancer Research UK is funded entirely by amazing supporters like you, and by sponsoring me, you can help more people survive cancer. Every pound you donate really does make a difference to Cancer Research UK’s life-saving work into preventing, diagnosing and treating cancer – so please sponsor me now!
Thank you for your kind donations, and together, we can beat cancer!
