Story

After just three short weeks preparation, I will be attempting to complete a marathon in my garden on Thursday 7th May, for Lindsey Lodge Hospice.

As we're all stuck inside, it's harder than ever for local charities to raise money as all group fundraising events are made impossible due to the coronavirus. Lindsey Lodge Hospice provides care for adults with life limiting illnesses and aims to provide specialist palliative care for day and inpatients to the highest standard, consisting of symptom management, emotional support and end of life care.

I'm kindly asking, particularly those people - like me - who would now be spending their money at the pub or booking summer holidays if we could, just chip in a fiver, tenner (or whatever you can) for those at Lindsey Lodge who might be finding dealing with the pandemic particularly difficult, and their family who may be finding it even harder, given their unfortunate circumstances.

I'll be running - and walking - around my garden (40m + 40m + 10m + 10m = 100m per lap), this roughly equates to 422 laps of the garden to complete the marathon. I'll figure out a way to prove to everyone on the day that I'm actually doing it, so prepare for a lot of walking...

Even if you don't live locally, please consider donating as the hospice relies on our help to carry out the great work they do. You can read up about the hospice on their website, and the struggles they're facing at the moment: https://www.lindseylodgehospice.org.uk/

Once you donate, JustGiving send your money directly to the charity.

Any questions or anything I've missed please let me know.

Thanks a lot.
