The 2.6 Challenge is a simple and fun way for everyone to do their bit to help save the UKs charities.

Story

My mum is a nurse at Katharine House Hospice and she has currently had to move out because she is working directly with patients with Coronavirus. I want to help raise funds for KHH by running as far as possible in 26 minutes.

I love running and several members of my family would have been doing the London Marathon on Sunday 26th April. My target is to run over 6km in the time - my dad has said he will give me £5 for every km I complete.

Save the UK's Charities General fundraising has been hit very hard by the COVID-19 pandemic. Thousands of fundraising events have been cancelled and many charities, particularly smaller ones, are struggling to maintain services because of this huge reduction in income. This impacts all sectors of society from children to the elderly as well as the vital work in areas such as palliative care, serious diseases, mental health, housing support, food supplies and countless others that charities support.
