Since my wife was diagnosed she has struggled with different treatments and spent a lot of the time very sick and trying to avoid major surgery. Since her diagnosis she had the support of her friend Lesley Booth who like her had Crohn's disease. Unfortunately, very recently Lesley's condition worsened and she passed away due to complications. I want to run in honor of Lesley and also help raise necessary funds to help find better treatments or even a cure for this awful illness.
