Nordoff and Robbins is the UK’s largest music therapy charity, with a unique approach shaped by more than 60 years of practice. Through the power of music, it breaks through the barriers caused by life-limiting illness, disability and social isolation. The charity does this through providing music therapy to people across the UK, whilst also training the music therapists of the future and funding research to measure and improve the impact of its work.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I am running a Half Marathon to help raise money for Nordoff Robbins, a charity I support due to their work with helping people with cancer, dementia, and other life afflicting illnesses through the power of music.
Music therapy can help a child with autism to communicate, unlock forgotten memories for someone living with dementia or provide comfort for someone facing a terminal illness. It can uncover new levels of confidence for those living with mental health issues, stimulate brain function for victims of stroke and highlight what a person can do in spite of their complex disabilities.
All of the people we help have one uniting factor - music  improves their quality of life.
Thank you for any donation for what I think is an incredibly worthy cause.
