Story
Many Care Leavers are alone on Christmas Day. Our mission is to ensure that no Care Leaver is ever alone again on Christmas Day.
Christmas Day can be one of the hardest days of the year and so we will host up to 30 young Care Leavers who will enjoy a full, all the trimmings dinner, presents, good company and a warm, friendly, supportive reception.
We cannot do this without your help. We need to buy the food, the gifts, the decorations and provide help with transport.
Pure Insight exists a charity to support young people exiting the care system. This is a group of people who otherwise have very little support since they often lack close, reliable family members and as young adults the state makes very little, if any provision for them.
The lack of such provision for young people in, and leaving the Care system means that many young Care Leavers fail to manage independent living and this can have devestating effects leading to homelessness, chronic loneliness and severe depression amongst other mental health conditions.
Your donations allow us to continue to support Care Leavers throughout the year, provide hot meals, essential items, train and allocate one to one mentors and make sure that on birthdays and at Christmas time that happy memories can be created.
Pure Insight receives no centralised government funding and limited Local authority funding and so most of the money we rely upon to keep going has to be raised independently.
