Gulp.  Our running packs have arrived.  We have less than two weeks to go...

I felt that as Shivia celebrates its tenth anniversary this year I should do something to raise some funds rather than just asking other people to do things for us!  George amazingly agreed to join me.  We are not runners but we will somehow get round the course in celebration of all the people whose lives are a little bit brighter through their own efforts and my team's tireless efforts EVERY DAY to help them.  We are helping families who should not be living the way they are in this day and age.....

Shivia empowers the poorest to create livelihoods, boost income and inspire permanent change.The focus of our work is in rural West Bengal, one of India’s poorest and most populous states, where we are giving families living in villages near Kolkata the tools and training to start money-making agricultural enterprises. We empower the people in most need, and particularly women, to work their own way out of poverty and provide a brighter future for their children. You may know about our chicken programme - well one poultry toolkit costs just £15 to supply and is life-changing to the family that receives it........

Please support us and in turn the 12,000 families we work with enabling them to take more toolkits, receive more training and send their children to school and have a brighter future.
