Story
In 2011 I founded Rise Africa UK with an aim to provide disadvantaged children in Tanzania with an education. Two years later Rise Africa UK is supporting the education of 66 children, 38 at Bright Stars nursery school and sponsoring 28 children at local primary and secondary schools.
My dad and I are running the Great North Run on the 15th September and the Royal Parks Half Marathon on the 6th October to raise money that will allow Rise Africa to continue supporting the education of some of the poorest children in Tanzania.
We hope to raise enough money to enable Rise Africa UK to:
1) Buy swings and a slide for the school: £200
2) Buy a second set of uniform for all the children at the nursery school: £440
3) Send at least 5 of the brightest children at Bright Stars nursery school to private primary school in January 2014: £400 per child per year
4) Accept new children to Bright Stars nursery school in January 2014: £34 per child
5) Continue supporting the monthly costs of running Bright Stars nursery school: £530 a month
Rise Africa UK is making a real difference to the lives of all 66 children and with your help we will be able to brighten futures of many more. Please sponsor me as we run two half marathons this Autumn.
This is not just any sponsorship, it is very personal and I can assure you that 100% of the money donated will be spent directly on the children.
Thank you very much,
Olivia
