Important:
When giving please put in my reference number: 3037201. The project name is: The North Kigezi and Kinkiizi Dioceses (NKKD) Water and Sanitation Programme.Since about the age of 13, I've had a heart for Africa, particularly Uganda in recent years, and have been challenged by the amount of poverty there is to do things and raise awareness. I've been involved in many MPH campaigns but I have never had the chance to get out there and experience it for myself. Last summer, i went on a conference with my school where they talked about the problems of infant mortality and how many of these deaths are due to water related diseases. For this reason, in July, i'm going out with a group of 9 others for the whole month to do a water and sanitation programme with Tearfund in Kigezi, Uganda. The programme involves a lot of building work; building water collection tanks, digging trenches and building tippy-taps monday to friday for the 4 weeks. On saturdays, we are helping with children's activities in a local community centre. I am so excited for this life changing trip yet like with most things there is a cost. Including flights and vaccinations on top of the trip cost the overall cost is £2000, therefore i would really value whatever you can give, even if it is just a pound. It really is a case of every little helps.
Thank you soo much xxxx
