Brighton Half Marathon 2018 · 25 February 2018 ·

Aphasia is always due to injury to the brain, and most commonly from a stroke. The difficulties of people with aphasia can range from occasional trouble finding words to losing the ability to speak, read, or write. Aphasia affects a person's language, but it doesn't affect a person's intelligence.

Story

Me and James are running the Brighton half marathon in February. This is an especially big challenge for me as this is my very first( and perhaps last!!) half marathon. James, although has run half marathons before, deserves donations for  dragging me out on runs and putting up with such a moany/ unwilling training partner!  It’s a challenge for us both! :)

We are raising money for this brilliant charity that has been set up by my friends dad, Colin Lyall. After suffering a stroke Colin set up this charity to support people living with aphasia, a condition that affects speech, reading and writing ability.
