Story

This coming January I am planning to undertake a virtual challenge to run 71k in aid of the world-leading Roslin Institute near Edinburgh, funded by Sepsis Research FEAT, the UKs only sepsis research charity.

I have chosen to run 71k as this was the age my beautiful father was when he passed away due to Sepsis having silently developed throughout his body. Every year around 50,000 people in the UK die of sepsis. That's roughly one every 12 minutes!

It can affect any of us at any time!

The ground-breaking GenOMICC project at Roslin is studying emerging infections and is now collecting samples from COVID-19 patients to gain important answers about that infection too. I would be incredibly grateful if you felt able to help spread news of my challenge and consider sponsoring me as I join Sepsis Research FEAT in its battle to #StopSepsisNow.
