I have signed up to complete the Bethany Sportive Challenge in June which is a 72 mile cycle through the Scottish Borders. I am completing this challenge in aid of RP Fighting Blindness, a charity which aims to find a treatment for the eye disease Retinitis Pigmentosa, a condition my father was diagnosed with in 2000. RP is a condition which effects the retina and leads to a gradual reduction in vision and eventually often blindness. The medical research that this charity funds, as well as the support they provide for people with RP, is invaluable.
