Sofa to Spartan by September

Spartan Scotland 2018 · 15 September 2018 to 16 September 2018 ·
I'm running this Spartan Race...my FIRST Spartan Race..for a couple of reasons.
Mainly because my Gran suffered from dementia for 10 years. It was a horrible journey watching her slowly forget her family, her whereabouts and finally herself. It's an evil disease that I don't wish upon anyone, and so for that reason, I want to raise money to help Alzheimer's Society find a cure so one day no one has to go through it.
The other reason for doing this run is because, in the last few years, my weight has fluctuated hugely. Anyone who knows me knows I have never been much of a runner...or sporty in any way. And so I am going from sitting on my arse all day to running a 5k Spartan Sprint Obstacle Race in September.
Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.
Any money you can give would get us one step closer to finding a cure and so a step closer to preserving our treasured memories.
