On the 8/09/2009 I swam the English Channel! It took me 11hrs and 6min of extreme mental and physical work. I have written an account on my blog below. I am still fundraising so please continue to donate through the links.

It was almost closed down by the local council in the nineties to make way for a car park but fortunately saved and now managed by volunteer trustees to ensure the Lido remains an invaluable asset to the local community for many more decades to come.
