Story

Hello.

No doubt about it: neither of us were anywhere near running this far before the lockdown. Two big bellied boys who liked a rum more than a run.

It can seem like an elusive world to break into, elite running. The Nike sponsorships, the short shorts, the energy gels. But when Boris says you're not allowed outside ever again unless it's to do some exercise, what else are you supposed to do?

If you can't go to the half marathon, then make the half marathon come to you. Two slobs trying to do our longest ever run - 21.1km - with a few weeks of training and a couple of YouTube videos to tell us how not to be sick halfway through.

So in the spirit of us hurting ourselves it would be absolutely grand if you could spare a few quid for Cancer Research UK. It's something that affects pretty much everyone in some way or another and hopefully this stupid run can raise a few pounds for a good cause.

Cheers. See you on the 18th.
