Support Team CLDF taking on the London Marathon and help fight childhood liver disease.

Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page.

I will be running the 2018 London Marathon in support of the Children's Liver Disease Foundation (CLDF) who raise awareness of Liver Disease and help those suffering from it.

My girlfriend, Jessica Green, had a liver transplant as a baby which saved her life. I am running so that more young children can survive to live life to the full as Jess has.

Jessica was born with the liver condition Biliary Atresia. Despite treatment and surgery, Jess's condition deteriorated a couple of months before her first birthday when she became a priority patient for a transplant. On 10th May 2000 a donor became available, and 10-month-old Jessica underwent a liver transplant.

Thanks to this successful transplant, and daily medication, you can see from our picture that Jess is now a healthy 18-year-old living life to the full. I hope that my efforts will raise both awareness and funds for the great work that the CLDF do, and promote the importance of joining the donor register.

My training is now well underway and if you are able to support me with a small donation for the CLDF I would be so grateful.

Thank you
Olly
