On the 17th of January 2023 I lost my brother Jona.

Life since than has been a traumatic blur, but I am grateful to have discovered boxing as an amazing form of escape from the struggles of grief.

My brother had a laugh that would light up a room and I can't think of a tribute that would make him happier than seeing his younger sibling getting punched in the face. And so I have decided to take part in a charity boxing bout in his memory!

Jona loved Africa and felt at home there. The money raised will go towards educational and medical projects in the continent that were close to his heart, some of which involved people he knew and worked with on his many gap years.

Jona went to medical school as he had a dream of going back to Africa as a doctor. He had so much ability and potential which tragically I feel he became victim to in the end.

That dream won't happen for Jona now, but this fund could help students in Malawi achieve it with medical school scholarships in his memory.

The world's a darker place without my brother. His unique perspective, energy, and clean hearted caring soul will be missed by many. But hopefully some good can come out of his passing.
