As a student and volunteer of As-Suffa Trust I have first hand experience of seeing Outreach programmes including the poor and homeless attending on evenings for a meal and hot drink. The sad reality is 100s of people each week in Birmingham from all races and backgrounds attend for what may be their only daily meal whilst we are fortunate enough to eat and drink whenever and whatever we want. This great initiative from As-Suffa requires your support to be able to cater for the less unfortunate, especially coming into the winter period.   

Therefore, I am doing a 50 mile bike ride and requesting you to sponsor me with all proceeds going to As-Suffa Trust to continue with this initiative as part of their Outreach programme. 

Allah (swt) says in the Quran: (The righteous are those) who feed the poor (76:8) and Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessing be upon him) said: 'Feed the hungry, visit the sick and set free the captives' (Bukhari)
