We provide expert care and support to young people with cancer

Story

MOO employs nearly 600 people across 6 offices, the furthest being our HQ in London and our office in Denver, Colorado, some 4,658 miles apart. In July the whole company will be running for charity, in an attempt to collectively run this distance. We are calling it the LON>DEN MARATHON.

For my own personal running challenge, I will be attempting three 10k runs, in just one day, across three cities: London, Boston and Denver.

My first 10k race will take place at 7am (BST) in London on the 24th July, where I will run 10k between our office in Farringdon, and Paddington Station. There I will then take the train to Heathrow and fly to Boston. I land at 13.15 EDT and my second 10k will be a loop around the Charles River. Once this is complete I take the 18.40 flight from Boston to Denver, landing at 21.20 MDT, before commencing my third and final 10k run for the day around the streets of central Denver, completing my challenge (hopefully) before midnight local time. It will be a massive physical challenge for me and far beyond anything I have ever attempted before.

For my fundraising, I am incredibly proud to be supporting the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Seven young people are diagnosed with cancer every day in the UK. The Teenage Cancer Trust is a cancer care and support charity that exists to improve the cancer experience of young people.

It is the only charity dedicated to providing specialist nursing care and support when they need it most. They have built world-class specialist facilities in 28 hospitals across the UK, providing a home away from home for young people while they receive treatment. They also fund specialist nurses and youth support coordinators to support the young people in these units. They've been specially trained to understand what it's like to have cancer when you're young, giving support and helping young people to feel less isolated.

The Teenage Cancer Trust is an amazing charity, doing something very unique and valuable for young people going very difficult and scary times. Please help me hit my target of £5,000 by supporting me with a generous donation. Your support will certainly keep me going on my long run.

Recognising that this is non-essential travel, all miles flown will be offset via the Carbonfund.
