Setting a record · 19 October 2021

As the frontline of the NHS in Scotland, we provide an emergency ambulance service to a population of over 5 million people serving all of the nation’s mainland and island communities. Our Charitable Funds support services by enhancing the environment for patients and staff.

Story

Having had what turned out to be life saving attention from paramedics of the Scottish Ambulance Service last year, I want to repay them by raising money through a sponsored walk. I have decided to try and beat the track record for an eighty six year old walking Knockhill racing circuit, a record which was set earlier this year, a record which currently stands at 23 minutes 25 seconds.

The only day the track can be guaranteed to be free of traffic is October 19th. It would obviously be a better challenge during a race meeting but the management can’t be persuaded to allow this 😂.

All donations go directly to the Scottish Ambulance Service Endowment Fund and donations however small will make a difference.

Thank you,

Oonagh
