Mission: To raise money via ‘Operation Silver Bullet’ for the NGO charity MercyCorps which proposes to fund a drinking water project, ‘TRISHNA’ ( which means to quench ones thirst) in the two tea garden communities of Marybong and Gairee Gaon in Darjeeling. This project will provide an abundant quantity of clean drinking water to 450 community members (85 families) all year long, reducing water borne disease and improving the quality of life for these very poor people. Challenge:  Two very demanding treks in the foothills of the Himalayas (over 10,000 feet) as well as motorbiking some 900km to Sikkim and Bhutan (I don't even have my bike licence yet!) on some of the most dangerous cross country / roads in the world! Serious injury is a distinct probability and death quite possible!
