London Landmarks Half Marathon 2021 · 1 August 2021 ·

#TeamOrange will be running the streets of London taking in the spectacular views of some of the cities most iconic landmarks in March 2020. With your help we can continue to break down the barriers to play for disabled children and young people!

Story

I am running a half marathon (backwards) on the 29th September and asking for your support so that once we have come through this together Challengers can keep on breaking down the barriers to play.

Challengers provides safe and inclusive spaces where disabled children try new activities, form some amazing friendships, and most importantly have an amazing time. Every child is supported and engaged, based on their interests not their disability.

What makes Challengers so special is the commitment to never ever exclude a child. This is of vitial reassurance to families who so often must fight to get the services their disabled child needs.

"Finally, we have a place to go where I know my child is understood, well looked after and safe. I get time to myself knowing that my child is OK.”

Together, we can ensure Challengers can keep on providing vital play and social opportunities for our young people, and giving their families access to crucial short  breaks which really do make all the difference.

And I will be able to strengthen my posterior muscles... apparently my calves, hamstrings, glutes and back!

If you want to join please do let me know AND if you have two minutes, please do watch the video below.

Thank you,

Marcus

P.S. I was originally planning to run the London Landmarks Half on the 28th of March but due to the pandemic this was cancelled.
