Story

My name is Oran, I’m 22 years of age, from Maynooth and in my final year of college studying Digital Marketing. On the 25th of February this year I was diagnosed with testicular cancer which is the most common cancer in men aged 15-35 and 180 men get diagnosed with it in Ireland every year. My cancer was fortunately caught early and hadn’t spread to other parts of my body which it often does quite quickly. An early detection saved me a lot of dark days in terms of treatment and with the help of my GP and everyone at the Beacon Hospital, my experience with cancer was filled with top quality care and efficiency. I was very lucky with the early stage and type of cancer I had which made it highly treatable. Others are not as lucky as me and out of respect and admiration for those who battle cancer everyday I feel I should do my part to do whatever I can to make sure they get the funding they need this year with this virtual collection. Please give whatever you can to help those who need it.
