Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my fundraising page.

No running water, no electricity, and camping in -20 Degrees.... I've decided to take part in the DEBRA Ireland Arctic Challenge 2022 to support those living with EB (Epidermolysis Bullosa).

Living through this challenge for one week will be nothing compared to what patients go through on a daily basis. I hope you can support me, but more importantly the patients by donating what you can. All donations are greatly appreciated.

About the Challenge

The challenge is .....…to survive in the harsh, frozen, unforgiving landscape of Arctic Finland. Along with our fellow adventurers, we will be going off-grid with no running water or electricity for six days. We will learn Arctic survival skills before putting this all in practice transporting all our equipment across the Lapland wilds and camping out overnight in minus 20 degrees celsius.

About the Charity

I am fundraising for DEBRA Ireland, which is the Butterfly Skin charity. This charity does fantastic work in Ireland aiding and supporting those who suffer from Epidermolysis Bullosa. You can read more about this rare, severe, genetic skin blistering disease at https://debraireland.org/. All funds raised here will go directly to DEBRA.

About the charity

DEBRA Ireland provides support to all those living with EB. We receive no guaranteed funding, so we rely on the generosity of our supporters and fundraising campaigns in order to continue the level of support that we offer our patients. Without this support our services would cease to exist.
