Orla was born with Cytomegalovirus (CMV) on the 2nd July 2018 and she is perfect. However this means she is deaf and has 'brain abnormalities' as determined by an MRI scan. CMV is completely unknown in this country although it can cause substantial damage to unborn babies and result in significant health issues throughout life. It is one of the leading causes of child disability in this country and is more prevalent than Down's Syndrome yet no one has heard of it.

CMV Action plans to change all this by raising awareness, working with medical professionals and lobbying the Government to create a vaccine and eradicate this devastating virus.

2. Montane Spine Race - 462km, 16,230m ascent. (Jan 2020).
3. Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc - 170 km, 10,000m ascent. (Aug 2020).
4. Berghaus Dragon's Back - 315km, 15,500m ascent. (May 2021).
