At medical school, one of my friends was diagnosed with osteosarcoma of the thigh. She battled through surgery, chemo and physiotherapy to prove everyone wrong when she managed to walk again. After a year out of studying, she continued into final year of medicine, like the hero she is! A true inspiration. In her final year, she was diagnosed with metastatic disease and continues to fight. 

I run for her and all her bony brothers and sisters. Keep fighting!
