So on Easter weekend I'm going to be rolling around on the floor, trying to submit and avoid being submitted by my opponent in a massive 24hr grapple! If you know wrestling it will be a bit like a royal rumble ;-)
We at Artemis BJJ (Brazilian Jiu Jitsu) are having a 24 hour grapple at MyGym in Bristol. Each time we do an event we try to raise money for a local charity.
The charity for this event is One25, a local charity that helps women trapped in, or vulnerable to, street sex work, supporting them to break free and build new lives away from violence, poverty and addiction.
If you can imagine, a normal session of sparring/grappling in jiu jitsu is just 5 minutes long. So we will really be pushing ourselves for this worthwhile cause. Any donations are welcome, and PayPal is accepted. Don't forget to gift aid.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
