We're taking on the ultimate challenge and trekking to Everest Base Camp in summer 2020.

Story

I'm attempting a lifetime goal of mine which is a trek to the highest mountain in the world, Mount Everest, in aid of The Children's Society. This charity helps and supports the country's most vulnerable young people by running services and campaigns to make's children's lives better by improving, protecting and keeping them safe.

This expedition will be physically and emotionally challenging, of which I am prepared to train hard and meet the demands it will bring. It is one on my "bucket list" of which I am looking forward to ticking it off!

Children like Huda, who was sexually assaulted when she was 15 years old, facing honour-based abuse at home afterwards, which led to her frequently going missing and subsequently falling victim to child criminal exploitation, when she became involved in county lines activity, after being made to pack and carry drugs to trap houses by her abusers in return for places to sleep, food and water. Huda was unaware that she was being exploited when she was referred to a worker from The Childrens Society, who supported her to break free from the cycle of exploitation. Huda is now living back at home and hopes to use her experiences to raise awareness of the reality of county lines. Please support my Everest challenge, to create a country where children are free from disadvantage, supporting disadvantaged children to have better lives - The Children's Society
