Hi, my name is Melissa and I appreciate you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I create jewelry and art that are inspired by the ocean and do regular beach cleanups around my home on Hatteras Island, North Carolina. It feels good to get out an help keep my community clean but it also feels like a tiny drop in the bucket compared to what the rest of our planet faces.

When I learned abut the Sea Shepard Organization, I was struck with how brave they are in their tactics to stop poachers and illegal fishing. They fight back against criminal injustices being waged against our environment and make a big impact in protecting marine life and bio-diversity. I would love to see more bravery like that! 

I may never be that brave in my life... but with my art I see a way I can help by bringing others on board, spreading awareness and also by donating a portion of the profit I make off my ocean inspired jewelry and art to Sea Shepard.
