OTKF Madrasa Appeal · 29 May 2014

The Wilaya Trust is a charity that provides holistic, community-based education in Oxford, and supports other communities to do the same. We develop an approach to learning in which the cognitive, physical, and spiritual well-being of individuals is cultivated by practising knowledge in community.

Story

Assalam alaykum,

OTKF has been successfully running it's weekly Madrasa since 2008.

We offer courses in Arabic, Seerah, Tafsir and Fiqh taught by traditional scholars who have studied abroad for over 15 years. Over the years many have benefited ranging from young adults to New Muslims, many of whom have gone on to teaching and serving the local community.

All our classes are offered FREE of charge: we are adamant that money should never be a barrier between a person and seeking traditional knowledge.

Unfortunately, the OTKF Madrasa is currently facing a financial shortfall. We have seen a drop in the number of standing orders and one-off donations over the past year, despite an upsurge of students attending the courses.

We are appealing for £20,000. This will allow us to continue for the foreseeable future.

We would like to invite you to help in this cause by donating to our appeal.

The Oxford Traditional Knowledge Foundation is registered with the Charity Commission (charity no. 1137354), and your donation is eligible for Gift Aid.
