Ben's Old Trafford to Craven Cottage Challenge - BTS · 6 January 2022

Brain Tumour Support is dedicated to providing support for patients, families and carers so that no one feels alone facing the effects of a brain tumour diagnosis. We provide individualised and specialist information, guidance and emotional support, at any point and for as long as it is needed.

Story

The end of 2021 was a challenging period for the Elmslie family with my Dad (Nick) being diagnosed with Prostate Cancer & myself with a benign Pitiutary tumour within a few weeks of each other. Luckily the prognosis for both of us is very positive and we are fortunate to be surronded by a loving support network of family and friends.

Across January and February I will attempt to run the equivalent distance between Old Trafford (home of my 2nd team) and Craven Cottage (home of Fulham FC). The distance between the 2 grounds is 332km which is the equivalent of running about 6k per day across the time period.

I'll also try to raise money for 2 charities whilst doing this who focus on supporting people who don't have access to support network but provide support for people receiving treatment.

I appreciate that it is a bad time of year to ask for donations post Christmas but anything you can would be much appreciated. The idea is to try and keep the donations relatively equal between the 2 charities.

I'll provide updates on the page and via instagram/facebook as well.

Many thanks and wishing all a happy 2022

Ben
