Story

My son Tom was born in August 2016, nearly 5 weeks early. It was a very scary time; Tom was delivered by emergency c-section and taken straight to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

The care Tom received during this time was amazing. Every member of staff showed so much kindness and professionalism, not just to us but to all the other parents with babies on the unit. Watching them comfort and support parents who were facing heartbreaking situations was humbling.

Thomas (middle name Tiger!) responded really well to treatment. Less than 2 weeks later he was released from the neonatal ward to the transitional care ward - it was the best feeling in the world and I was so grateful to all the staff for everything they'd done for Tom.

Tom is now a very happy 11 month old and will be 14 months old by the time I tackle the marathon!  Please help me give something back to the team that saved Tom's life, any donation would be massively appreciated.

Lots of love,

Jo xxx
