Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
There are a number of reasons why I wanted to create a photo gallery of my local community during this time. There are so many people going above and beyond to help in any way they can. People at home are making scrubs for local hospitals, restaurants are supplying meals to staff at hospitals, DT departments in schools are making face shields for our care workers. Bus drivers have lost many of their co workers particularly in London but carry on providing us with a service, shop assistants have continued to work in supermarkets and small local shops so we can still buy our food, postmen and women are delivering our post and all of our online purchases!
Our lives have all been affected in some way or another. Lockdown has been very unique to each person and their individual circumstances. We clap for our carers on Thursday evenings and we haven't been able to see elderly relatives, family or friends for weeks.
I wanted to record this time with images of some of the people in my community, and I wanted to be able to help Saint Francis Hospice. So my idea is that at the end of the photo gallery there is a link to this page to donate whatever you can to them and this is why:
Due to the current circumstances the fundraising department have had to postpone/cancel all fundraising events. The hospice only receives 23% government funding and relies on the fundraising department to income generate the 7.8 million needed to provide specialist palliative care to patients and their families within our catchment area.
They desperately need support and help during this time to continue to provide their services. Please help and donate if you can. The pennies make the pounds so whatever you can donate they will appreciate immensely.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails.
