Duchenne UK funds life-changing research, supports patients and funds programmes to advance progress to get treatments faster. Each year one in 5000 children worldwide are affected by Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy. Two families learn each week their child has DMD and recently my sister and her husband had this heartbreaking news said to them. Harry is the same age as Artie and I just can’t imagine what they are going through right now. 

I am walking for my nephew, Artie, who will one day - in the not distant enough future - begin to lose the use of his muscles. He is a gorgeous happy boy, who brings so much happiness to all of our lives.
