The award-winning Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital is a highly specialist unit looking after the needs of premature and critically ill babies. The NICU is one of only three specialist neonatal units

Story

Our baby Olivia was born at 24 weeks, weighing 470 grams and was only given a 5-10% chance of survival. After 141 days, in 4 different NICUs she is now happily home with her Mum and Dad. After witnessing first-hand the amazing efforts of those hospitals, I have chosen to fundraise to help contribute to them continuing their life-saving work.

When we made decision to have a baby we never thought for one moment we would find ourselves on this rollercoaster ride of emotions and extreme highs/lows. I was ignorant to the prem world, I wasn't even aware babies at 22 weeks could survive with the right medical treatment that our NHS Hospitals can provide. That's why I have chosen to raise money for these incredible units to help save more babies like our little girl Olivia.
