This ones for you dad #TeamIncredible

London Marathon 2021 · 3 October 2021 ·
Running teaches us to keep moving forward, one step at a time, especially in the most painful moments.
As many of you know, over the past few months my family and I have gone through the most challenging and painful of times. On the 26th March this year, my amazing kind, honest and loving dad lost his very short battle with the big C.
I have decided that I needed to set myself a challenge, motivation to get me through the year of ‘firsts’’ without dad and what better way to do it than by running my first marathon in dads memory. Raising money and awareness for Sue Ryder, in particular the Nettlebed Hospice, where dad was lucky enough to receive the most amazing care in his last days and to a charity whom continues to support both me, my mum and my sister. This is my opportunity to give something back.
It costs £9000 per day to run the Hospice and its services, all money that I raise will be used to support others going through the same journey that my family have.
Someone told me that grieving is much like running, it’s never gets easier you just get stronger.
So now it’s my turn to go through my own personal challenge and tackle the 26.2 miles. All I ask is that you do the easy bit and support me in any which way possible and give as generously as you can..
