MYH Prison Campaign 2011 : Outside Line needs your Messages of Support and Donations!

It is a wonderful way for the Muslim brothers and sisters to unite to show to those in need that we are here to support them.

This year’s Prison Campaign 2011 : Outside Lines main aims are:

To reach out to 5,000 prisoners by sending out Eid gifts (50% of the Muslim prison population.

To raise awareness of our helpline which is now free for prisoners to call. This allows us to provide practical and emotional support through a combination of listening and signposting.

To raise awareness within the community of the numbers of Muslim prisoners and to mobilise support for this largely ignored group.

To extend our helpline opening hours to provide a dedicated service for Muslim prisoners.

To respond to requests from prisoners for befriending visits and Islamic items.

Last year we gave out 4000 gifts and this year we aim to give 5000, reaching 50% of the Muslim prison population
